Kimberly Monson- MFA Cum Laude, New York Academy of
Fine Arts, BFA Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts.
Awards include the First Place Walter and Michael
Lantz Prize at the 1999 National Sculpture Competition
in Philadelphia and an Honorable Mention in the same
competition in 1996. Ms. Monson has also been awarded
by the National Sculpture Society, wining a coveted
Merit Scholarship in 2000, and Honorable Mentions in
the Society’s Publications. Noteworthy exhibitions
include the New Britain Museum of American Art, The
National Arts Club, The Cooley Gallery and Sotheby’s
Auction House. Kimberly was commissioned to sculpt the
portrait of the famous author John Steinbeck for the
town of Sag Harbor and was the recipent of the
Reutershan Trust Sculptor in Residence. In addition to
being a visiting instructor at the Lyme Academy
College of Fine Arts, Kimberly along with fellow artist, Michael Viera,
created their own school through the Golden Eagle in
East Hampton, NY where she teaches drawing, painting and sculpture.
